Trying to help a friend who just posted his Kickstarter in order to finish his movie. Want to gather the money for the editing as all the filming has been done, have a look:

It isn't really helping Minardi though, but his friend. That might have been the disconnect with OPPO.

I usually post a small thing every year during a friend of mines annual charity drive but it also gets very little attention.

at first i thought the kickstarter campaign was to help vincent himself get his company solvent.

either way, and maybe i'm just an old-fuddy-duddy, but i feel like these crowd-funding campaigns are somewhat presumptuous, and decidedly gauche.

unless youre offering actual ownership or royalties for contribution, its nothing more than asking for charity.

$75 for a DVD? maybe for a haiti-earthquake-focused non-profit, or west-africa-ebola-medical-supply-delivery-ngo. but for your vanity project? come on.
